This is the FAQ for the Otayuri Week event. Got a question? We have answers!

When is the event being held?

Event dates will be decided based on the results of the interest check. Those results will come out on October 16, 2024, and will be posted to the calendar and here.

How do I post my work?

If you want your work to be reblogged onto this account, you must post it on Tumblr under the OtayuriWeek2024/2025 (year depends on event date results) tag and follow the tag instructions on the about page. Feel free to @ this account in your post to make sure it gets reblogged.

Will there be an Ao3 collection?

Yes! Once posting dates are decided, it will be linked right here.

Can I still participate if I missed the interest check?/Is the interest check mandatory?

Yup, even if you missed the interest check, you can still participate! All it means is that you missed the prompt voting and suggestion. The interest check is not required.

Do I have to post something for every day?

Nope, not unless you want to. Post as much or as little as you'd like! There're no requirements, just follow the prompt you pick and have fun.

Are late submissions still accepted?

Yes! You can post as late as you want, but there's no guarantee it will be reblogged onto this account. Reblogs will stop a full month after the challenge ends.

Is NSFW work allowed?

NSFW content is allowed, so long as it is tagged appropriately with the NSFW tag and has a warning at the top of the post. The NSFW content must be below a "read more" button to protect others participating from seeing things they don't wish to.

Otayuri Week is a weeklong fandom event for the Yuri On Ice ship between Yuri Plisetsky and Otabek Altin.

Prompts: On October 16th, the prompt page will be posted with the results of the interest check, which opens on September 15th and closes on October 15th. There will be 3 prompts per day with an additional 3 alternative prompts to swap out with to ensure everyone can create something they are happy with.

Media: Participants can choose any form of media they wish to use for the challenge. This list includes but is not limited to: fanart, fanfiction, edits, gifs, mood boards, and cosplay. All ages, skill levels, and media types are welcomed!

Interest Check: The interest check will open on September 12th and close on October 15th. You do not need to fill out the interest check to participate, but it is greatly appreciated. Posting for every day is not required, but it would be appreciated if those who fill out the interest check post for at least 1 day. The results of the interest check will dictate the posting dates and prompts of the challenge. Want to fill it out? Click here!

Posting: Posting dates will be put here once the results from the interest check are out. There will be an Ao3 collection for any writers to use. All works posted on Tumblr with the OtayuriWeek2024/2025 (depending on posting dates) tag will be reblogged onto this account. Posters will also be asked to follow a tagging system to make reblogging easier.

Tagging System: Please follow the order below when tagging your work on Tumblr: 1. #OtayuriWeek2024/2025 (depending on posting dates) 2. Trigger warnings (if needed) 3. Prompt used 4. Type of media (fanart, fanfic, cosplay, etc...) 5. Your tags
